My Fitness Pal

So, Jason is on this diet losing weight for a weight loss competition where he works.  He started using this Iphone app called My Fitness Pal and it was really helping so I decided to start using it, just as a way to see everything I was taking in during the day.

Not to mention, my husband, with marathon training, lost 26 pounds in 10 weeks! Go Jason!

Some really great things about it:
1. Based on your current weight and how much you want to lose in a time period you choose, the app tells you how many calories you can consume, even without exercising if you choose.  

2. It has a HUGE inventory of food, you can literally type in anything from a restaurant dish to Sara Lee Bread and it will pop up with the regular servings that you can adjust.  

3. You can also scan the barcode on something and the item will pop right up for you.

4. You can add your friends that have the app and can see their weight loss progress too, and comment, it's a lot like Twitter! 

5. Not only does it keep up with your calories but also all of the little nutrition facts on a label like sugar, sodium, fats, etc. and whether you're under or over what you should be taking in.

6. If you do any exercise, you can also put that in and gain calories back, another incentive for exercising!

7. If you don't have an Iphone or other phone that supports the app, you can do it all online!

You can also check your nutrition details here, just because something is 0 calories, like Kosher Dill Pickle Spears, doesn't mean it isn't full of sodium!
