Today is mine and Jason's 3rd anniversary! I can't believe it's been 3 years already! Well, 3 married years plus 4 more if you wanna get technical... The last year was definitely the hardest and the most rewarding, living apart but also new jobs, friends, opportunities, college degrees...lots of exciting things! I can't wait to see what's in our future! (Hopefully a puppy in the very near future! I hope..) And now, some of my favorite moments from our wedding day!

Today, my friends, is the day I've been looking forward to for a while now. The first. day. of. fall. Yay! I love fall so much I decided to tell you just a few of my favorite things about it. :)
Time for pumpkin flavored things (although I've been drinking pumpkin spice lattes for a few weeks now, oops), leaves changing color, warm layers, cableknit sweaters, riding boots and booties in rich cognac leather, leggings and long-sleeve tees, duck boots, camp socks, hot chocolate, camp fires, quilted vests, scarves, Shep Shirts, plaid, fur (faux), soup, open windows, snuggles, fall candles, new seasons of your favorite shows, new shows, his sweaters, crisp cloudy days, cashmere, smells, crunchy leaves and stepping on them just to hear them crunch, football, apple cider, mums, anniversaries (ours is tomorrow!), choosing hot coffee over iced again...maybe..wassle, rich lipstick colors, cinnamon in everything, furrier and fluffier cats and dogs, fun decorations, festivals, new wardrobe, apple desserts, sales on warm weather clothes and new fall clothes, trading floppy straw hats for felt ones, colors like burgundy, pumpkin, topaz, navy (but let's be real, navy is a year-round color), winter white, and emerald, cords, Hunters even if it's not raining, leather handbags and totes, leopard accessories, being outside for long periods of time sans sweat, summer travel slows and there's more time with friends and family, and the end and a new beginning.
If you think about it, nature really ends and begins with fall. The leaves fall off, trees and plants become bare, and there starts the beginning of life again. Or at least that's how I see it.
I've mentioned just a (few) of my favorite things about fall, what are some of yours?? Happy fall y'all!

If you follow me on social media, you've probably (I hope) seen that I've opened my own Etsy shop!
Earlier this summer I made some bracelets for myself and I realized I really enjoyed creating them, so I figured, why not?! In this post I'll share some of my favorites with you and I hope you'll head over to my shop, take a look around, and find something you need in your jewelry box! And if not, I do custom orders!!
To find the my shop on Etsy, search my shop name, littlehummingbirdmgt, but make sure you're searching "shops" or it won't come up! Or you could just click here. :)
These aren't everything that's available in the shop so head on over to check it out! Also, along with my personal Instagram (link in sidebar), follow my shop's Instagram (@littlehummingbirdmgt) for updates, giveaways, and coupon codes! :)

It's a daily battle whether I'm longing for fall or holding on to summer, this outfit clearly has a grip on summer. But oh well. If I haven't mentioned, I don't abide by the "no white after Labor Day" rule, especially when the temps still reach the 90's on a daily basis. I wear what I want. And I always want navy and white. Especially when gingham and lace are involved.
And let me preface the photos...this is my attempt at photographing myself. Lawlz, I know, but I usually have to make Jason take my pictures and he's never super thrilled, and sometimes I get dressed to go places in the middle of the day when he's not home and by the time he is, I'm not about to change out of my giant tshirt to take pictures and hear him groan about it. So, we'll see if I can't do better in the future, but here it is. No judging.
So yeah, these bracelets from my shop were perfect with the outfit. They're probably my favorite! (Also, best photo in the entire post.)
So, I'll forgive you for all the judging even though I said "no judging," because even I was hardcore judging as I was writing this post. Oh whale. The outfit was still cute, even if it was out of season and poorly photographed.

This weekend Jason and I headed up to Talladega, AL for a half-marathon. Obviously Jason was the one running in it ha, and yes, the Talladega of the NASCAR world and Ricky Bobby. Jason didn't choose to run it because we're NASCAR fans (we're not), but it was actually really cool getting pretty much unlimited access to the track, pit road and basically the entire infield. Something I would assume many fans would be super pumped about!
Talladega is just east of Birmingham, and about 4 hours north of us, so I was hoping for a little cooler weather and the morning of the race (we got to the track at 6, gross), it was cool enough for leggings, a long sleeve tee, AND my herringbone J. Crew vest!! Yay!!!!! I won't post all the boring pictures, but here are the highlights!
Obviously we took a selfie in the middle of the track, and yeah, we look like 6am. Although I'm not sure why Jason has his glasses on...the sun wasn't even totally up. Gross.
In case you're like me and didn't know, the entire outside of the track is banked, I thought it was only the ends! And it's STEEP! People were crawling up to the top on the ends of the track it's so steep.
I was definitely glad I wore my Chacos when I was walking up and down the bank, anything but those or tennis shoes would NOT have worked.
Just so you can kind of get an idea of how steep the bank is, I'm standing on the inner flat part looking straight ahead. Crazy!
Jason did so awesome, ran the half in 1:37, 32nd overall of over 700! Then you could get your picture takin in Victory Lane! (I think that's what it's called..)
Then on the way home we stopped at O'Henry's Coffees in Birmingham, names best coffee shop in Alabama by Business Insider!
Then we stopped in Montgomery at Baumhower's and had the best fried pickles and their version of a Kentucky Hot Brown, the "Hot Bama" Brown, and it. was. de-lic-ious.
I hope everyone had as wonderful a weekend as we did!

This summer we went to the Pacific Northwest for vacation and brought back some shells, rocks, and such from the beaches. I've been thinking about what in the world I was going to do with them, especially the shells since they're so perfect!
So the obvious answer, since I'm a jewelry designer now and all (haha), make them into jewelry! So I did! I haven't used all of them yet, but these two necklaces are now pretty much my favorite! Ahh, I'm in love, and they went perfect with this weekend's slouchy look. (Thinking about adding similar, simple, dainty items to the shop! Yay!)
