Cuffed Chinos

Over 4th of July weekend, yes, a couple weekends ago, I know, but I'm behind and I'm working on it, I broke out my new favorite chinos from Gap.  I love the boyfriend look, with the longer length and rolling/cuffing the hem, it looks like you stole them out of his closet.  I paired it with a boxy top to balance the length and boyfriend feel.

Seriously the perfect outfit for a comfy weekend.  Being comfortable and looking pulled together is like the ultimate win when it comes to fashion and style, and obviously my Jacks fit in perfectly with the look, along with my new favorite summer braid! And I realize I have no makeup on in these pictures, but during the summer, I mostly go without! Just some of my favorite moisturizer/sunscreen and a little sunshine is all I need.

"Appy" Wednesday

That title...I'm hilarious, I know, you don't have to tell me, but I'm about to tell you about my favorite app!  There are so many apps out there, literally one for ev-ry-thing.  Everything.  For example, if you love reading blogs but hate opening each one to read individually, there's an app for that!  Bloglovin', to be exact, and recent updates have made the app much more user friendly and useful, all your favorite blogs in one place, and you can actually see the blog, not just the text/pictures of the post, and search for blogs!

Really though, I'm digressing a bit from the main focus of this post, my new favorite app!  It comes from my favorite blogger, The College Prepster (CP)!  She now has her own app!  Pretty awesome, right?!  I find myself opening it up first thing with my cup of coffee in the mornings to read her latest post, and usually check later in the day for one of those two-a-days.  (Sorry, flashback to summer conditioning for soccer season, yikes.)

I definitely recommend you check out her blog if you haven't already, and if you have, download the app!  And don't worry, according to CP, updates are coming with in-app links and such, but you can always go to the blog itself for links when you read/find something you fancy.  One day I hope I reach the level of having my own app.  Ahh, blog dreams...  Anyway, like I said, go download, go read, go!  Available for your iPhone and iPad here!

I also like how it shows you what you've already read!

Have you downloaded College Prepster's app? Who are some of your favorite bloggers you would like to see create a blog app?

All You Need is Southern Shirt and...

This post is such a treat for me, featuring one of my absolute favorite southern brands, The Southern Shirt Company (SSCO)!  They were gracious enough to send over these amazing tees that have literally become my new favorites!  In the best colors and most comfortable material, it's hard to beat this company's products, (one of) the only thing missing from my collection is a SSCO Boardwalk Vneck Jersey!  Which are literally perfection when talking cute comfort.  Swoon.

SSCO is incredibly popular, not only for the comfort factor mentioned above, but their customer service is top notch!  They literally encourage interaction with customers, and I would bet that verrrry few, if any customer, goes unsatisfied.  But, back to the star of the post, the tees!  Which you can find at one of their many retailers

If you follow SSCO on Twitter, you've seen their recent tweets, "All you need are comfy shirts and _______."  So, I decided to insert my own "other needs" with my Southern Shirts!  Also, I'm not sure how, but they must have known my favorite color is mint and I'm in love with salmon/coral this summer, so perfect!  All of the shirts I'm wearing are mediums, the perfect size for "oversized."  The only issue I had, I washed them all together and the coral bled onto the two mint shirts, not super noticeable, but I would soak/wash your shirts alone first before putting them in with the wash, or sir a color-catcher sheet.  I haven't sprayed the shirts with stain removed and washed yet though which has worked in the past, so we'll see, but like I said, I've been wearing them anyway since it's not super obvious.  My bad!  I promise my mom taught me better than that.

All you need are comfy shirts and Starbucks.

All you need are comfy shirts and Chick Fil-A.

All you need are comfy shirts and summer thunderstorms.

Which tee is your favorite?  Where would/do you wear your Southern Shirts?

Lilly and...Vineyard Vines

The wedding Jason was in this last weekend was at a beautiful vineyard in Southern Illinois, but I'm a little partial to vineyard weddings. I just love the scenery, no decoration needed!

I went back and forth between this super cute black slip-like dress and my (Jason's) favorite Lilly. Thankfully, the tan tux and Sperry's Jason wore for the wedding made up my mind, pink Lilly it was! Taking these pictures took me right back to our very own wedding, taking amazing photos among the grape vines. Swoon.

Friday Favorites {Styling the Herringbone Vest}

First, let me say this...I apologize and yes, I know July isn't even over yet, but I can't get over this amazing vest that's coming my way and that's why it's my Friday Favorite! I realize most people can't fathom buying cool-weather clothing right now in the heat of the summer, but I'm telling you, if you want this vest in your closet, you better buy it now! I looked again today and all sizes are on back order till the middle of August, except XS, and they're on back order till November. It's only a matter of time till November comes up for the rest of the sizes and then the only available ones will be for sale on eBay for $200. Ridiculous. I had a couple requests for outfit ideas with the vests and hopefully, if you've been debating buying one (and the back order deal hasn't swayed you) hopefully these favorite looks of mine will help make up your mind!

Herringbone Vest

That's right y'all, the coveted herringbone vest from J. Crew is back!  I have been waiting for this day since I passed on the original from J. Crew a couple seasons ago and then missed the Factory version last season.  I wasn't sure if they would bring it back, but they had to, right?  They fly off the shelves every time, and had I known this, I definitely would not have passed on it the first time.  This time around, when I found out they were coming out, I was waiting, watching, then someone mentioned they were live on the site and I was not going to let it slip out of my fingers this time!

So....I'll just go ahead and tell you...I got one!  I hope.  I had a few things to do/return before I could purchase it, so when I finally got all those things done, I was on the site snatching one up before you could even blink.  And a word of advice, if you want one, you better get it now, they were already on back order when I got mine!  I'm telling you, they fly. off. the. shelves.  And they're on sale for $75.50!
